At Gablio, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account and all associated data.
How to Delete Your Account
To delete your Gablio account and all associated data, please contact us by email:
- Send an email to support@gablio.com
- Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
- Include the email address associated with your Gablio account
We will verify your identity and process your request within 5 business days.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Account information — your name, email address, profile photo, and authentication credentials
- Learning progress — all lesson history, exercise scores, completion records, and streak data
- Preferences — language selections, proficiency level, topic preferences, and notification settings
- Learning paths — any custom learning paths you have created or are enrolled in, along with progress data
- Grammar progress — all grammar rule completion data and scores
- Vocabulary data — words learned, word tracking history, and focus word lists
- Device registrations — all device associations linked to your account
- Subscription data — your subscription status record in our system (note: you must separately cancel any active subscription through the App Store or Google Play)
What Is Not Deleted
- Shared lesson content — AI-generated lessons are stored in a shared pool and are not tied to your personal identity. These lessons may continue to be served to other users.
- Anonymized analytics — aggregated, anonymized usage data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for service improvement.
- App Store / Google Play records — purchase and subscription records managed by Apple or Google are outside our control. Please contact them directly to manage those records.
Deletion Timeline
- Email request: We will process your request within 5 business days of identity verification. Full removal from our systems is completed within 30 days of processing.
- Local data: Data cached on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or can be cleared through your device settings.
- Backups: Data in encrypted backups will be purged as part of our regular backup rotation cycle, which occurs within 90 days.
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your learning progress, streaks, and achievements cannot be recovered.
- If you have an active premium subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account to avoid continued billing.
- After deletion, you may create a new account using the same email address, but none of your previous data will be available.
